Auhsome: A Funky Display Font for Creative Projects

It was a quiet afternoon when I opened my design board, staring at a blank canvas for a new café branding project. The client wanted something that felt warm, approachable, and a little bit whimsical. After a few rounds of sketching and brainstorming, I found myself reaching for a font that could bring that playful energy to life—Auhsome.

Auhsome for Branding and Headline Design

Auhsome is a unique and organic paper cut display font that was handcrafted to bring a funky and playful feel to all your projects. As a designer, I often look for fonts that can carry the personality of a brand without overpowering it. Auhsome does exactly that. Its irregular shapes and soft edges make it feel like it was cut from a piece of handmade paper, adding a tactile quality that’s hard to replicate with digital typefaces.

When I first tested Auhsome on a logo draft, it immediately gave the concept a sense of character. It wasn’t too rigid or too casual—it sat perfectly in between, making it ideal for headlines, signage, and any design that needed a touch of personality. The font has a friendly yet confident presence that works well in both print and digital formats.

Auhsome for Product Packaging and Label Design

One of the first places I used Auhsome was on product packaging for a small artisanal skincare line. The client wanted labels that felt authentic and connected to the handmade nature of their products. Auhsome’s organic texture made it stand out against more traditional serif or sans-serif fonts. It added a layer of visual interest that made the packaging feel more personal and crafted.

I paired it with a clean, modern sans-serif for the ingredient list and product description, which helped balance the boldness of Auhsome. The result was a design that felt cohesive but not monotonous. The font’s variations allowed me to play with spacing and alignment, giving each label a slightly different but still unified look.

Auhsome for Social Media Graphics and Web Headers

When working on social media assets for a local boutique, I experimented with using Auhsome as a headline font for Instagram posts and website headers. The font’s quirky style caught the eye and brought a sense of fun to the content. It worked especially well when paired with bold colors and minimal backgrounds, allowing the typography to take center stage.

On the web, I used Auhsome for hero sections and call-to-action buttons. Its organic feel contrasted nicely with the clean lines of a modern interface, creating a dynamic visual hierarchy. The font didn’t compromise readability, even at smaller sizes, which is a big plus for web design.

Auhsome for Logo Design and Visual Identity Systems

Logo design is where Auhsome really shines. Its handcrafted look gives it a distinct identity that can be the foundation of an entire brand system. When designing a logo for a creative studio, I used Auhsome as the primary typeface, incorporating its subtle imperfections into the final mark. This helped reinforce the brand’s commitment to authenticity and creativity.

For the visual identity, I extended the use of Auhsome to business cards, letterheads, and signage. The font’s flexibility allowed me to maintain consistency across different mediums while keeping the design fresh and engaging. It also worked well as an accent font, used sparingly to highlight key elements without overwhelming the overall composition.

Auhsome for Editorial and Print Design

In editorial design, Auhsome adds a refreshing twist to layouts that might otherwise feel too static. I used it for a feature article about independent artists, where the goal was to create a visually engaging spread that reflected the subject matter. The font’s playful nature matched the tone of the article, making it feel more approachable and lively.

For printed materials like flyers and posters, Auhsome’s organic shape made it easy to read from a distance, especially when paired with a strong background. It worked particularly well in event promotions, where the goal was to grab attention quickly and convey a sense of energy and excitement.

Auhsome for Handmade and Artisanal Brands

One of the most rewarding aspects of using Auhsome has been its ability to connect with handmade and artisanal brands. Whether it’s a small bakery, a craft store, or a custom jewelry shop, the font feels like it belongs in those spaces. It doesn’t scream for attention, but it definitely makes an impression.

For a local restaurant, I used Auhsome on the menu header and signage. The font’s warmth and charm complemented the cozy, homey vibe of the place. It also helped differentiate the brand from more generic, corporate-style menus, reinforcing the idea that this was a place with character and personality.

Auhsome for Digital Templates and Commercial Design

When building digital templates for a client, I incorporated Auhsome into the design system. It served as a strong headline font that could be used across various platforms, from email newsletters to social media banners. The font’s versatility made it easy to integrate into different layouts without losing its visual impact.

For commercial design assets, such as merchandise or promotional materials, Auhsome provided a consistent and recognizable visual element. It helped tie together different parts of the brand, ensuring that every touchpoint had a cohesive look and feel.
